Exceptional Stanley #3 Plane – Type 4 Pre-Lateral with Bailey’s Patent Dates
This is an outstanding example of a Stanley #3 Plane, Type 4, manufactured between 1874 and 1884. A collector’s dream, this plane showcases a beautiful rosewood tote and a low beaded front knob, both in excellent condition.
The brass adjusting wheel and lever cap feature Bailey’s patent dates, adding historical significance to this already remarkable piece. The Stanley “J” logo is proudly stamped on the iron, affirming its authenticity and quality craftsmanship.
