A magnificent example of American edge toolmaking: this 3″ wide timber framing slick chisel was produced by Globe Manufacturing Company of Middletown, Connecticut—a respected name in 19th- and early 20th-century tool production. With its massive blade,  and clean lines, this slick is built for serious joinery and hewing work, yet retains the elegance of a finely made instrument.

The blade is  stamped with the Globe mark and measures a full 3″ across, ideal for paring large tenons, smoothing timber faces, and fitting joints with precision.
