Description
A rare allโiron spill plane with its original red and gold paint, pictured in PTAMPIA Volume 1 on page 210.
This is an exceptional example, far better than what typically surfaces, with a remarkable amount of original finish still intact. The colors remain vivid, and the casting lines are crisp, giving it strong display presence for anyone collecting early spill planes or paintโretained iron tools.
It features the correct camโtype lever lock to secure the iron, functioning smoothly and exactly as intended. The overall form is undisturbed, with no cracks, repairs, or modifications, and the plane retains that distinctive early industrial character these allโiron models are known for.
A genuinely scarce survivor in unusually fine condition, especially with this level of original paint remaining.
