Silver Steel • Damaskeened Finish • Sticky Sharp • A Premium Atkins Worker
A superb Atkins No. 53 “Perfection” Silver Steel Hand Saw, featuring the beautiful damaskeened etch that Atkins reserved for their highest‑grade saws. The No. 53 was one of their flagship models—Silver Steel, premium finish, and exceptional tooth geometry—and this example shows exactly why Atkins earned such a strong reputation among professional carpenters.
The 5 1/2 TPI tooth line is sticky sharp, ready to bite the moment it touches wood. The blade is clean and bright with excellent early character, and the damaskeened etch presents beautifully. The handle retains classic Atkins shaping with crisp edges and strong color.
