An extra fine Stanley No. 12½ Cabinet Makers Scraper Plane, a clean and well‑preserved Sweetheart‑era example fitted with its proper Sweetheart‑marked cutter. The 12½ is the deluxe version of Stanley’s classic cabinet scraper, distinguished by its rosewood sole, which gives it a wonderfully smooth, controlled feel in use and adds strong collector appeal.

This example has crisp edges, a clean casting, and a rich, even rosewood sole with no abuse. The Sweetheart‑stamped iron is a perfect match for the era and shows only light signs of careful handling. The adjuster works smoothly, and the plane has that honest, lightly used look that makes these so desirable.

A standout Sweetheart‑period 12½—clean, correct, and ready for the bench or the shelf.
