A wonderfully charming and early Slack Sellars & Co No. 699 small saw, featuring the firm’s distinctive Flying Bird “Speed” logo boldly marked on the plate. At 10″ long, the plate retains its original nib, a delightful detail that adds to its period authenticity.
This example has an awesome curvaceous handle, beautifully shaped with that unmistakable mid‑19th‑century flair. The handle is secured with dual split nuts, consistent with the circa 1860–1880 manufacturing period. These small Slack Sellars saws don’t turn up often—especially in such appealing, honest condition.
