An amazing Davis Level & Tool Company 6″ mantel inclinometer, featuring the classic early September 17, 1867 patent date and the beautifully ornate Davis casting style. This compact mantel model is one of the most elegant pieces Davis produced, and this example stands out with striking gold highlights that bring the decorative details to life.
The inclinometer dial is clean and legible, the pointer moves freely, and the cast‑iron frame shows the crisp, architectural lines that make Davis tools so visually iconic. At just 6″, it’s the perfect small display piece — full of presence, charm, and that unmistakable Davis artistry.
