A rare and beautifully preserved example of early American planemaking, this 18th-century molding plane was crafted by Joseph Fuller of Providence, Rhode Island—one of the most important and prolific planemakers of the colonial era. Fuller produced planes from 1772 until his death in 1822, and his work is prized for its craftsmanship and historical significance.
