Description
A hardโtoโfind T & K No. 99 spokeshave, clearly marked โ99โ on the cutter, the cutter seat, and the underside of the lever capโa full, matching set of markings that collectors love to see. These early T & K shaves have a distinctive, compact rabbetโshave form and are noticeably scarcer than their later Stanley counterparts.
T & K (Tucholski & Koziczenski) produced this pattern before being acquired by Stanley, after which the design was carried forward as the Stanley No. 68 rabbet spokeshave.
A clean, honest, and very desirable early patented shaveโwellโmarked, mechanically sound, and an important predecessor to the Stanley 68.
