A rare Leonard Bailey Victor No. 12 pocket block plane, a scarce little survivor from Bailey’s Victor line and one of the most desirable of the early pocket‑sized planes. This example has that classic Victor look—compact, elegant, and mechanically refined.

The exterior japanning appears enhanced, giving it a darker, more uniform presentation, while the interior japanning looks original, exactly what you want to see when assessing authenticity. The casting, form, and proportions are all correct for an early No. 12, and the plane carries that unmistakable Bailey/Victor character that sets these apart from later Stanley production.
