Spectacular Early Peavey Canoe Hatchet With Proper Marked Sheath.

Peavey Manufacturing was/is a tool company in Brewer, Maine at the time of this hatchet’s production. Peavey is still in business today and are located in Eddington, Maine. Peavey is famous for its Peavey Logging tools. This small Canoe Hatchet has its original leather sheath which is also stamped “The Peavey MFG Co. Brewer, Maine”. The axe head has the classic wedge design. The hatchet is stamped on 2 sides. Side 1 is stamped THE P-V MFG. CO. BREWER, MAINE. The other side is stamped P-V CANOE HATCHET with a canoe logo. This was double stamped as well which makes it even more rare.
