A rare and beautifully preserved example of early American planemaking, this handled moving filletster plane is boldly marked “Casey & Kitchel, Auburn, NY”, dating it to the firm’s brief partnership between 1847 and 1856. Crafted with a 1½” wide skewed iron, this plane was designed for precision shoulder and edge work, and features classic 19th-century styling.
