Superb Millers Falls  No. 22 Jointer Plane – Smooth Bottom, Stanley No. 7 Equivalent

A top-tier example of the Millers Falls No. 22 jointer plane, The No. 22 and is considered the company’s answer to the Stanley No. 7—but is far harder to find, especially in this condition. Measuring 21 3/4″ long with a 2 3/8″ wide cutter, this plane features a smooth sole and the correct Millers Falls-marked iron, clean and full of life.

The japanning is 98% intact, with only minor wear, and the rosewood tote and front knob are superb, showing rich color and excellent form. The sole shows typical light age staining, but remains smooth and true. Produced between 1929 and 1967, the No. 22 was part of Millers Falls’ premium line and features the company’s signature red-enamel frog and polished lever cap.

A scarce and highly functional jointer—ideal for users who want Stanley performance with a rarer badge, or collectors looking for a clean example of Millers Falls’ finest.
