Description
A superb example of The Elgin wrench, carrying the June 3, 1897 patent date, complete with its full set of accessories and housed in the original box with its original labelโa combination that is almost never seen intact. The wrench itself is crisp and mechanically sound, the accessories are clean and properly fitted, and the box retains that wonderfully aged paper label that ties the whole set back to its lateโ19thโcentury origins.
Elginโs patented design was one of the more inventive entries in the era of multifunction wrenches, and finding a set that remains complete, boxed, and correctly labeled elevates this far above the typical survivor. A truly collectorโgrade example of a scarce patented wrench set.
