Description
An uncommon Morris Patent combination wrench, patented August 4, 1908, made in Marshalltown Iowa, and featuring the distinctive alligatorโstyle jaw paired with an adjustable wrench mechanismโone of the more unusual hybrid designs of the early 20th century.
This example appears to be an early version, as it is marked โPat. Appliedโ, a detail that places it right at the beginning of production and makes it considerably scarcer than the later fully patented, fully marked variants. The form is classic Morris: bold, mechanical, and unmistakably tied to the inventive wrench era of the 1900โ1915 period.
