An awesome very early extra‑large brass Wimble brace with a full 12″ sweep, a bold and impressive example of the oversized 19th‑century pattern. These early all‑brass wimbles have a presence unlike anything later—tall, architectural, and beautifully machined, with that warm, even patina only a century or more can produce.

The 12″ sweep makes this one particularly striking. Most surviving brass wimbles are much smaller; this large‑frame version has real visual impact and would have delivered tremendous torque in use. The proportions, early form, and crisp detailing all point to a high‑quality maker working at the turn of the century or earlier.
