Very Nice Winchester No. 3060 Dado Plane – 1/4″ Wide – Complete (Made by Sargent).

A scarce and desirable example of Winchester’s tool line, the No. 3060 dado plane was manufactured by Sargent and mirrors their No. 32 in design and quality. With a 1/4″ cutting width, it’s ideal for fine joinery, drawer bottoms, and small casework.

Condition: Very nice overall. Complete with all original components — depth stop, nicker, fence, and iron. Japanning is strong, with light wear consistent with careful use.
Functionality: Fully operational. The iron is sharp and seats well, and all adjustments move smoothly.
Historical Insight: Winchester contracted Sargent to produce tools under their brand in the early 20th century, making these crossover pieces highly collectible. The No. 3060 is identical to Sargent’s No. 32, but with Winchester branding — a rare find for collectors of both tool lines.
